Pangea is a multi-day music and wellness festival rooted in intention, connection, and creative expression. Since 2020, I’ve been part of the core organising team responsible for shaping both the operational backbone and the experiential vision of the festival as it scaled from approximately 700 to over 3,000 attendees.

Each year, Pangea is built from a blank landscape into a fully functioning temporary city — designed, installed, and operated by a large multidisciplinary team of artists, builders, contractors, and volunteers. The work spans infrastructure, people systems, creative production, and real-time decision-making under pressure.

I hold responsibility for the architecture and execution of core festival systems, ensuring that creative ambition is supported by structures that are safe, legible, and resilient.

What I held:

Operations architecture
Designing and overseeing the full operational framework of the festival — from pre-event planning through on-site execution and breakdown — across ticketing, access, safety, and attendee flow.

Infrastructure & site systems
Planning and managing large-scale temporary infrastructure including waste, sanitation, recycling, power, glamping, camping, parking, and sustainability systems.

Team & department leadership
Leading multiple volunteer and contractor departments, with direct oversight of production management, gate operations, stage management, security, medics, waste teams, and ticketing leads.

Vendor & supplier systems
Managing food and market vendor curation, contracts, communication, and financial oversight, balancing operational viability with experience quality.

Artist & programme coordination
Co-curating the musical journey and supporting artist booking, negotiation, logistics, and care in alignment with the festival’s ethos.

Budgeting & financial discipline
Holding budget structures and supplier negotiations, ensuring financial clarity while supporting creative and experiential priorities.

The work requires calm decision-making in high-stakes, fast-moving conditions — holding both detail and vision simultaneously. Pangea is not only an event but a living system, and my role is to ensure that system can function, adapt, and evolve without losing its core intention.
