Neighbourgood Experience was the vibrant events and experiences division of Neighbourgood—a Cape Town-based property company reimagining urban living for digital nomads, creatives, and remote workers. The goal? To bring people together through thoughtfully curated events, immersive local experiences, and authentic community connection.
As the marketing and social media lead, I was responsible for shaping the entire digital identity of Neighbourgood Experience. Working across content strategy, curation, and community engagement, I translated the brand’s three pillars—events, experiences, and community—into a cohesive and inspiring online presence.
Key responsibilities included:
Content strategy & curation – developing a dynamic feed using user-generated content, visuals from creators, and branded design assets
Copywriting & storytelling – crafting compelling long-form blog content and punchy captions that amplified local recommendations, upcoming events, and cultural insights
Promotional content creation – producing high-impact reels, stories, and carousel posts from raw event footage
Influencer & campaign management – sourcing top local creators, managing collaborations, and leading promotional teams for events
Community engagement – curating digital conversations that reflected the lifestyle and energy of our spaces and audiences
Blog management – writing, editing, and scheduling weekly content aligned with our content calendar and marketing goals
From wine-and-braai afternoons at Constantia Mist to house music nights and pottery classes, every experience was an opportunity to showcase Cape Town’s creative pulse. My approach centered on elevating that energy into every digital touchpoint—inviting people not just to attend, but to belong.
